Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) is used to separate the layout and presentation of a HTML document. The current version of CSS 2.1 had some limitations with respect to complex visual effects. With the development of CSS3 loads of new and exciting functions and features like text shadow, box sizing, opacity, multiple backgrounds, border radius, border image and animation are now easily achievable. It is expected that CSS3, once it is fully developed and supported, will lead to greater flexibility and make it simpler to create complex and dynamic visual effects.
